Roadside Camera Edge Access Solution

Edge-access cameras and ANPR with LGS2000-2FE1FX-I fiber uplink for outdoor ITS cabinets.

1. Scenario

Roadside ANPR, PTZ, and radar devices need local copper access and fiber backhaul to the intersection or district hub.

2. Challenges

Outdoor cabinets face wide temperature swings, limited space, and strong EMC; fiber uplink and fast field install are required.

3. Architecture

Place unmanaged DIN-rail switches in roadside cabinets for 2×FE device ports + 1×fiber uplink; use managed GE switches at intersections for VLAN and ring redundancy toward the hub.

4. Recommended Leagrid LGS2000 products

  • LGS2000-2FE1FX-I: Unmanaged DIN-rail industrial switch: 2×FE copper + 1×FE fiber, IP40, −40–85°C, EMC Level 4—edge access with fiber uplink in cabinets.
  • LGS2000-8GE2GF-M: Managed Gigabit industrial switch: 8×GE copper + 2×GE SFP; VLAN/QoS/ring redundancy for intersection and shop-floor aggregation.

5. Deployment notes

Prefer DIN-rail mount; budget fiber loss; share grounding with cameras; separate data and management VLANs.
